Important notes

  • 'Within three generations' is defined by a list of relatives in each Finance Act (Koshi's bill lists spouses, parents, children, siblings, in-laws, grandparents and similar) — check the list for your relationship.
  • Women, single women and other discounts on the registration fee also apply to gifts (see land-registration-fee-rates).
  • Land Revenue Offices were renamed Land Administration Offices (भूमि प्रशासन कार्यालय) by an ordinance in Baisakh 2083; both names are in use.
  • Step order is indicative: no current citizen charter for this service could be retrieved — confirm at the office.
