Step-by-step process

  2. 2

Submit the application at your ward office with the supporting documents.

  3. 3

Important notes

  • Fee waivers differ sharply. Kathmandu, Bardaghat and Mahabu make treatment-related recommendations free, while Sandhikharka's Finance Act 2083 (s.19) allows no automatic exemptions.
  • Kathmandu also issues fire-incident recommendations (आगलागीको सिफारिस) free, within 24 hours of complete documents (ward recommendation, police site report, land-certificate copy, tax receipt for the current year).
  • Pokhara lists a 2082 procedure on health insurance for poor citizens (विपन्न नागरिकहरुलाई स्वास्थ्य बिमा कार्यान्वयन कार्यविधि, २०८२) on its site; not reviewed.
  • No official document list or fee was found for the ward-level poverty letter itself in the named cities.
